SUMMARY: The project Advanced Interdisciplinary Approaches to Environmental Chemistry: From Materials to Sustainable Pollution Solutions (NAPREDOK) aims to integrate scientists and collaborators of the Department of Chemistry into a coherent research group to achieve scientific excellence. Through interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches, the project will contribute to increase participation in competitive funding and strengthening international cooperation.
It focuses on developing research capacities, improving publication output in highranking scientific journals, and involving students in research processes, thereby enhancing their competitiveness in the labor market. Structurally, the project is divided into five work packages:
(1) Investigation of the molecular and crystal structure of macrocyclic compounds and their electrochemical and extraction properties (WP1),
(2) Green approaches to the synthesis of coordination compounds of transition metals and their biological properties (WP2),
(3) “Ecological materials” and their potential risk for nephrological health (WP3),
(4) Statistical approaches to the analysis of longterm trends in air quality (WP4), and
(5) Catalytic degradation of organic pollutants in water (WP5).
(WP5).The project outcomes include the development of new materials, improved analytical methods, and strategies for sustainable management of environmental pollution. In this way, the project ensures scientific contributions to the research community, supports the improvement of environmental policies, and enhances the quality of life through innovative solutions.
