Investigation of the molecular and crystal structure of macrocyclic compounds and their electrochemical and extraction properties (WP1)

The research focuses on the synthesis of new macrocyclic ligands, particularly Schiff bases and hydrazide macrocycles, which exhibit selective binding of metal cations and other molecules. The prepared compounds will be characterized using spectroscopic and crystallographic methods and examined in electrochemical and extraction experiments. The aim is to understand their binding, porosity, and extraction properties and to develop aterials applicable in detection, separation, and metal complexation.
